PasarBella @Suntec City

Birthday treat by the girls and I get to pick the venue, so I chose a place that won't break the bank for them. I wanted to try out this western concept 'Foodcourt' eating place that is designed to exude a funky NYC vibe.

The space isn't very huge, it has only about a dozen stalls around and limited number of tables and chairs. While most stalls sell western food, there is also Asian food to add to the mix.

After a quick walkabout to check out the stalls, we settled on 3 stalls and ordered food from the Cajun on Wheels food truck, Rollie Ollie and Choo Choo Chicken.

We got the Seafood Platter bucket $29 from Cajun on Wheels, which includes breaded prawns, squid balls, fish fillets, spam fries and french fries. We also ordered the Salted Egg Yolk Fries $6 from the Sides menu...simply couldn't resist.

The seafood bucket was not bad, ingredients were fresh, a good choice for sharing among friends. The salted egg fries was disappointing though, no salted egg taste at all.

Sunkissed Salmon roll $16.95 from Rollie Ollie, Crab meat and avocado center with torched salmon and mentaiko mayo toppings. This was good albeit a little pricey, I would eat it again.

Lastly, we had the 8 Pieces Chicken (4 Wings, 4 Drumlets) $18 from Choo Choo Chicken, comes with potato wedges and choice of two flavors. We chose Crispy and Honey Soy flavors, they were delicious, even the potato wedges tasted yummy too.

PasarBella @Suntec does not have the same Farmers market concept as its big sister located at Bukit Timah. It is a smaller NYC style Food truck concept eating place for people looking for something different from the usual foodcourts found everywhere in SG. However, we do find the food selections a tad limited and pricey, so this place isn't for everyone looking for cheap meals, it's more for somebody wanting to try global cuisine at cheaper-than-restaurants prices.
